Traditionally the twelve days of Christmas were the days between December 25th and January 6th, when the Wise man arrive with gifts. So I thought of twelve little magic gifts to open on each one of those days.
This year's Advent Calendar will be a box of twelve yarn cakes of 20 grams each, made of Serafina Meias Inglesas, the Corriedale sock base, with no-nylon and no superwash treatment that has become one of our favorites. The yarn cakes will be named after cake ingredients that are a part of my Christmas.
The yarn cakes will be individually wrapped and numbered and there will be other small surprises that will complement the yarn gifts.
This year Vanessa Pellisa is joining the Serafina Christmas Box by designing a new pattern that will be included.
As usual I aim to create a box full of sweet magical yarn surprises that will remain in future memories.

Tradicionalmente os doze dias de natal eram os dias entre 25 de Dezembro e 6 de janeiro, dia da chegada dos Reis com os seus presentes. Assim, para este ano pensei em 12 embrulhos pequenos e mágicos para abrir em cada um desses dias.
Este ano o Calendário do Advento será composto por 12 novelos de Natal, a que chamei bolos devido ao sua semelhança com bolos de pastelaria, cada um com 20 gramas, feitos de Serafina Meias Inglesas, o fio de lã de ovelhas Corriedale, sem nylon e sem tratamentos que se tem vindo a tornar um favorito.
Cada bolo será embrulhado individualmente e numerado, havendo ainda pequenas surpresas que os complementam.
A cada cor dei o nome de um ingrediente dos doces que fazem parte do meu Natal.
Este ano a designer catalã Vanessa Pelissa junta-se à caixa de Natal da Serafina com um modelo de tricot novo que fará parte do conjunto.
Como sempre, tentei criar uma caixa cheia de magia que permaneça nas memórias futuras.
